„We are proud to live with a forward-looking global energy company. Total has focused on sustainability and has a proven track eye in LNG, which has clearly been beneficial. This agreement aims to provide our customers with ideal gas stations on strategic routes across the country, and the union will create a powerful, leading advantage in this exciting space in South Africa,“ said Stefano Marani, CEO of Renergen. MIAMI – The Miami HEAT announced today that it has been awarded a multi-year contract with Univision radio station WAQI Radio Mambé 710 AM to broadcast all HEAT regular season games in Spanish. In addition, Univisi`n Radio`s WRTO MIX 98.3 FM will exclusively broadcast all HEAT playoff games. The radio agreement also includes a marketing agreement between HEAT and the Univisién Radio family in Miami, including Amor 107.5 FM and WQBA 1140AM. As part of its agreement, Radio Mimbé will organize a show before the game and after the game, which will offer the most in-depth coverage of HEAT basketball in Spanish. In addition, a weekly half-hour talk show will be broadcast during the regular season, as well as other programming and heat promotion on Radio Mambé and the Radio Univisien family. Renergen is in the construction phase of South Africa`s first commercial LNG plant and expects the facility to be around the third quarter of 2021. LNG customers will be primarily logistics companies operating trucks on major roads across the country, with a significant portion of initial production already allocated to customers.
The agreement expands the relationship between HEAT and Univisién, as the team`s Spanish-language radio broadcasts have been broadcast over the past eight seasons on WQBA 1140 AM, also a Channel of the Univisian. The HEAT games return to the channel that led the team to the Spanish-speaking public during the first two seasons of the franchise. During the team`s 2006 playoff race, which led to the first HEAT NBA championship, the games were also broadcast on Radio Mambé. „We have been working with Univisi`n Radio for years and we are pleased to continue to offer our Spanish-speaking fans the excitement of Miami HEAT basketball,“ said Eric Woolworth, President of Business Operations at HEAT. „We have had a very successful relationship for many years, which includes both championships and many collective efforts, and we look forward to the same future.“ „This is a proud moment for Total South Africa, as this is another first for our company. Total is committed to better energy, and through this partnership, we are taking another step towards affordable, reliable and clean energy, in line with our climate goal of achieving carbon neutrality with society by 2050. We look forward to working with Renergen to continue to make a difference in South Africa,“ said Mariam Kane-Garcia, MD of Total South Africa. „La Voz“ José Paeda, the Spanish voice of HEAT, enters his 25th year with the team and his 24th season, which deals with play-by-play tasks, while Joe Pujala enters his 14th year as an analyst and host the half-game, halftime and post-match. Renergen, a producer of natural gas and helium, will market its LNG products at Total`s gas stations.
